19 Weeks

Here is a picture of baby taken at week 12. Can you believe it? It blows my mind that God allows life to grow and live in our bodies. It leaves me completely in awe and I'm still in shock that a precious life looks so beautiful and developed at only 12 weeks.

How far along: 19 weeks - we get to find out the gender soon!

Baby's size: Baby is the size of a mango - my favorite fruit!

2nd trimester symptoms: The symptoms this trimester have been pretty mild thankfully! Some of my symptoms are congestion and a stuffy nose, especially at night, and sensitive gums aka bloody gums especially when flossing. My legs also have attempted to cramp in the middle of the night multiple times but I always manage to stop them by stretching them right before they pull. These are the symptoms no one really talks about so I'm glad my What to Expect app informs me that these are normal second trimester symptoms. Oh, and random spouts of crying. Crying at commercials, Disney movies, just the thought of something emotional would literally make me bawl my eyes out. Those days have past though - thank goodness, haha.

Best moment so far: Feeling baby move and kick! There are literally no words to describe this. Every movement is a blessing and I love, love, love it. Like, there's a baby inside of me!! I started feeling baby's kicks at the end of 17 weeks and they have gotten stronger and much more noticeable over time. They felt like little popping bubbles at first but have slowly changed to a sweet rumbling in my stomach. I love it so much. Baby especially responds whenever E talks to Baby at night.

Worst moment so far: There's actually not much to complain about. I think the only thing that made me sad was when we went to a Brazilian Steakhouse with E's family and I had to eat well-done steak the entire time, ha. I remember looking at E's medium rare steak longingly.

Cravings: Still fruit, especially mango and anything melon. Also craving coffee and in E's words, "Anything you can't have". True, haha.
