Wow, life has been all sorts of crazy ever since our wedding day. It's definitely been a season of change and adjustments, but nonetheless I am feeling abundantly grateful for God's provision. Here's what I've been up to these past few weeks!
+ Our place is slowly beginning to look more and more like home. We've got a few more additions to the apartment - a ladder shelf, a large frame with our wedding picture, a wicker basket, and some frames around house. I'm still planning on adding a few things more to our place so I'll definitely be hitting up Homegoods and Hobby Lobby soon!
+ Figuring out what to cook for dinner can be a struggle at times because there are days when I have absolutely no idea what to cook! On the bright side, it challenges me to venture out to try and cook new things. So far we've had: chicken tortilla soup (YUM!), kimchi fried rice, vermicelli bowls, steak, Korean army stew, zaub haub, and a few stir fry dishes here and there. We've also been putting our air fryer to use!! I think I want to make tacos next week since we have a slow cooker that would be nice to cook chicken breast in. If you have any delicious recipes, send them to me!
+ E and I watched "Warrior" together last Friday and man, that movie wrecked me. The movie revolves around MMA fighting and even though MMA fighting isn't something I'm super into, I loved it. To really sum it up, it's a movie about brokenness and family and it just broke my heart. Watch it if you haven't!
+ Work has been really crazy, y'all. Like, really crazy, and I don't mean to exaggerate that at all. After almost two months of school, my school decided to change my schedule. It's been a grueling two months, but by the strength of God I am surviving.
+ Going off of work, I was also disappointed in my schedule change because it meant that I would be coming home later. I used the time after work to do my daily Bible study before cooking dinner, but because of my schedule change I lost that time. God is great though - in His all-knowing character, He provided that time without me even realizing it. In my new schedule, E wakes up before me, but I choose to wake up with him. When he leaves for work, I use the rest of my morning time to do my devotion and Scripture reading. I thank God allowing me private, quiet time in the mornings.
+ E and I have gotten in the almost nightly routine of massaging each other. It's soooo nice, y'all. It's sad to admit, but we suffer from a lot of tension. E prefers either his feet or back while I can always go for a back or neck massage.
+ I cut my hair a few weeks ago! It makes it so much easier to dry shampoo for work so you can bet that I'm dry shampooing every other day, ha.
+ Funny enough, I've been listening to a few Risen Motherhood podcasts even though I'm not a mom yet! I really only just listen to their "Ask Us Anything" podcasts and I love how insightful the hosts are. It's super encouraging and I would recommend it for anyone.
There is so much more to add, but all of this to say, God has been my strength, joy, and peace this month! Can't wait to share some more updates!
