Trader Joe's Treasure Find: Spaghetti Cacio E Pepe

Tuesday, December 22, 2020

I jumped on the Trader Joe's bandwagon three months ago and I am so glad that I joined! There are so many good finds I've discovered and I thought it would be so fun to start blogging about my favorite foods there!

Here's a favorite I discovered recently: Spaghetti Cacio E Pepe.

I'll be honest, I was a skeptic when I saw that it came in a frozen package. However, I saw so many great reviews on it, including one from Jean Wang (one of my favorite bloggers), that I had to get it.

How I cooked it:
The directions on the package say to add water with the sauce and to add the pasta to the mixture. I decided to boil the pasta in water for about 5 minutes on it's own instead. While waiting on the pasta, I cut and cooked half inch slices of bacon. When the bacon was brown and crispy, I drained the grease, added the sauce, and then tossed the pasta in.

My review:
Rich in flavor with the perfect consistency! E and I loved this! If you're a fan of alfredo, you'll love this because it's even creamier and tastier. The package comes with bundles of pasta and frozen chunks of sauce which made it so easy to cook. I personally chose to add bacon to the dish because E and I prefer protein with our pasta and the bacon made it even better. It's creamy, flavorful and so, so, delicious. Will definitely repurchase in the future!

What are some of your favorite finds from Trader Joe's?
